Terms of Service

Please read these Terms carefully to understand the rules for using Ofoty, how content is moderated, and how features such as messaging, verification, reporting, advertising, and account deletion are handled.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using Ofoty, you agree to these Terms of Service and our platform rules. If you do not agree, you must not use Ofoty.

2. Age Requirement

Ofoty is intended for users aged 13 and above, or the minimum age required by applicable law in your region. If you do not meet the required minimum age, you must not use the platform.

3. User Responsibility

You are responsible for your activity on Ofoty and for the content you create, upload, share, send, or otherwise make available through the platform. You must ensure that your use of Ofoty complies with these Terms, our safety standards, and applicable law.

4. Account, Name, Username & Profile Rules

Usernames, display names, profile photos, bios, verification request details, and other profile information must not be abusive, hateful, sexually explicit, misleading, impersonating, deceptive, or otherwise prohibited. We may restrict, remove, or require changes to accounts or profile elements that violate these rules.

5. Verification Requests

Users may request account verification or a blue tick through supported in-app features. Verification is not guaranteed and is granted only after review. Requests may be pending, approved, rejected, expired, revoked, or removed at any time based on authenticity, safety concerns, policy compliance, account behavior, or other platform review standards.

6. Verification Abuse

Providing false information, impersonating another person or brand, using misleading identity details, or otherwise misusing the verification system may result in rejection of the request, removal of verification, feature restrictions, account suspension, or permanent ban depending on the severity of the violation.

7. Posts, Images, Short Videos & Reels

Users may create text posts, image posts, and short-video posts through supported features. Eligible approved content may appear in profile post sections, feed surfaces, reels, discovery, or other content areas. Not all uploaded content will be immediately visible to others; visibility depends on moderation approval, safety checks, technical processing, and region-based settings. We reserve the right to remove or restrict any content that violates our community guidelines, safety standards, or legal requirements.

8. Content Processing & Availability

Some uploaded content, especially media such as images and short videos, may be processed, compressed, queued, reviewed, or otherwise prepared before becoming visible or fully available on the platform. Content availability, ranking, and reach are never guaranteed.

9. Trending, Discovery & Visibility

Posts, short videos, and other eligible content may appear in trending, discovery, or recommendation surfaces. Ranking and visibility may depend on relevance, recency, engagement, moderation status, safety signals, country or category filters, and other platform standards. We may reduce, limit, hide, or remove visibility where necessary for safety, quality, or compliance.

10. Report System & Content Safety

Users may report objectionable content or user profiles through our in-app reporting tools. Reports may include categories such as spam, harassment, fake account, inappropriate content, or other concerns, together with optional report details. Reports are reviewed by our moderation systems and administrators to help keep the platform safe. We may take actions such as removing reported content, hiding profiles, restricting users, or taking further enforcement action where violations are confirmed.

11. Content Moderation & User Actions

We use automated systems and manual review to detect harmful, abusive, or prohibited conduct. We reserve the right to review content and profiles before publication, after publication, or in response to reports. Actions may include removing content, restricting profile visibility, limiting platform features, or terminating accounts for serious or repeated violations. We also provide user-side controls, such as blocking tools, which may limit interactions and visibility between the involved parties.

12. Prohibited Content & Conduct

You must not upload, share, send, promote, or otherwise make available content or behavior that is abusive, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, dangerous, deceptive, illegal, infringing, spammy, or otherwise prohibited by our rules or applicable law. You must also not misuse the platform to impersonate others, evade enforcement, manipulate systems, or interfere with platform integrity.

13. Copyright & Intellectual Property

You are solely responsible for the content you post on Ofoty. You must own or have the necessary permissions for any images, videos, audio, or text you share. If we receive a valid report or otherwise identify material that may violate intellectual property rights, we reserve the right to remove or restrict that content.

14. Audio & Media Policy

Ofoty does not guarantee an official music library for user uploads. You must ensure that any audio or music contained in your uploaded media complies with copyright and other applicable laws. We may remove or restrict media containing infringing audio after review or report.

15. Messaging Features

Users may send direct text and image messages through supported messaging features. Messaging must not be used for harassment, abuse, threats, spam, impersonation, fraud, illegal activity, or sharing prohibited content. We may restrict or disable messaging access for accounts that are blocked, restricted, banned, deleted, or otherwise not allowed to use chat features.

16. Block & User Controls

Ofoty provides users with tools to control their experience, including the ability to block other accounts from supported areas of the platform. When a block is applied, messaging and certain interactions may be disabled or limited between the accounts. Depending on the feature involved, some profile visibility, content visibility, or interaction options may also be restricted to help protect user safety and privacy.

17. Reactions & Content Actions

Users may react to supported content and may have access to certain content-management actions, such as reporting or deleting their own eligible content, depending on the feature involved. Some actions may be limited, unavailable, or changed over time.

18. Restriction, Suspension & Ban

We may take action against accounts or content that violate these Terms, platform rules, or applicable law. Actions may include warnings, verification rejection, content removal, reduced visibility, feature limitation, temporary restriction, suspension, or permanent ban.

19. Account Deletion & Restrictions

Users may request deletion of their account through in-app settings. Once deleted, access to the previous account may be permanently revoked. If the same credentials are used again, a new account experience may be created subject to platform rules and technical limitations. To prevent abuse, spam, fraud, or repeated misuse, we may apply a waiting period, including up to 15 days in certain cases, before a new account can be created or reopened using the same credentials. For security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance, certain limited records may be retained for a reasonable period as permitted by law.

20. Limited Data Retention

Even after account deletion or content removal, certain limited records may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal compliance, dispute handling, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, platform security, investigation, or enforcement of our policies.

21. Region-Based Availability

Some content, features, or visibility settings may vary by country, region, or technical limitations. We reserve the right to restrict, hide, or modify access to content and features based on local legal requirements or platform safety standards in specific locations.

22. Service Changes & Availability

We may add, remove, pause, update, or modify features, tools, surfaces, or availability of parts of Ofoty at any time. We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available, error-free, or supported indefinitely.

23. Enforcement & Policy Updates

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect new features, moderation requirements, legal obligations, safety practices, or operational changes. Continued use of Ofoty after updates means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically to stay informed about updates.

25. Advertising & Monetization

Ofoty may display advertisements, promotions, and sponsored content, including ads provided by third-party networks such as Google AdMob. By using the platform, you agree that we may place such advertising on the services, including alongside your content. Your interactions with advertisers found on Ofoty are solely between you and the advertiser.

26. Limitation of Liability & No Warranty

Ofoty is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the service will always be secure, uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

27. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Any disputes relating to these Terms or the use of Ofoty will be subject to the applicable courts and legal processes of Bangladesh, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
